Levels 1 to 4 include both HSK 2.0 and HSK 3.0 and you can switch inside the app. Levels 5 to 9 are HSK 3.0.
HSK Level 1
Beginner. 150 words in HSK 2.0 and 300 in HSK 3.0. Both versions in one app.
HSK Level 2
Elementary. Everyday life, time and travel. Both versions in one app.
HSK Level 3
Intermediate. Work, study and health. Both versions in one app.
HSK Level 4
Upper intermediate. Opinions, society and longer texts. Both versions in one app.
How to install
Android
- Open the app link in Chrome.
- Tap Install app on the Home tab, or the browser menu.
- Open it from your home screen.
iPhone
- Open the app link in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Tap Add to Home Screen.
Computer
- Open the app link in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon in the address bar.
- Or just use it in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Is the app free?
Yes. Every app is free to use. No account is needed, and your progress is saved on your own device.
How do I install the app on my phone?
Open an app link, then on Android tap Install app in Chrome. On iPhone use Safari and tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. After the first visit it also works offline.
What is the difference between HSK 2.0 and HSK 3.0 in the app?
Levels 1 to 4 contain both. Use the Switch button at the top to move between them. Your progress is saved separately for each version. Levels 5 to 9 are HSK 3.0 only.
Does stroke order work offline?
Stroke order needs internet the first time you open each character. Everything else works offline after your first visit.
